April Collection 2025
20 Years of DFL: Rewriting the Narrative of Nigerian Fabrics
Two decades ago, Ankara, adire, and aso oke were left for our mothers and grandmothers. Wearing Ankara to work? Unheard of. Adire? Strictly for elders. Aso oke? Only for traditional occasions. But I saw something different—I saw vibrancy, craftsmanship, and endless possibilities.
That vision led to DFL, where I designed Ankara shirts for workwear—challenging the norm and redefining style. Over the years, I kept pushing the boundaries of what was possible with our fabrics.
Last year, I went beyond the Yoruba fabrics I was used to and ventured up North—sourcing tie-dye fabrics in Kano and discovering Saki, a handwoven textile similar to aso oke. And now, in our April Collection, we bring these treasures to life: a stunning jacket made from Saki fabric and new silhouettes crafted from the rich blue tie-dye.
Our fabrics tell stories. This collection lets you explore Nigeria, one outfit at a time.
